Franking machines enable convenient and fast franking of business mail. The machines print a machine-readable franking code directly onto your company letters or onto self-adhesive franking strips for parcels. This enables almost completely automatic processing of all outgoing mail.
For smaller companies, there are models where the letters are fed in by hand and the weight is determined using an attachable letter scale. This enables franking to the nearest cent. For larger companies with high mail volumes, an integrated postage scale makes sense and a model with an automatic letter feeder is worthwhile.
To frank letters, select the desired item type and insert the letter or franking strip via the feeder. You will then receive a printout with the date, identification number and all relevant security information. Models for larger companies can feed several envelopes themselves, automatically determine the weight and print out the correct postage.
High-precision printing technology
Franking machines are equipped with high-precision print heads that guarantee a clean printout and good legibility. The quality of the ink cartridges plays a major role here, as the ink must dry extremely quickly in order to print large quantities of letters so that no problems arise during further processing in the mail center.
Problems mainly arise because the printout is blurred as soon as the next letter is placed on top of it. It can happen that the letter service provider refuses transportation because the franking code on the letters is illegible and cannot be scanned. The letters would then have to be re-enveloped and franked, which can cost the company a lot of money. In addition, the letters reach their recipients with a delay.
Quality of the special ink
The high quality of the special ink makes it possible to obtain a razor-sharp imprint that meets the requirements of Deutsche Post AG. To the left of the franking impression there is space for your own company logo or special advertising, which makes a visually professional impression with the original ink.
The addition for registered mail is also printed here using a barcode. These imprints should be individually adjustable, especially if the different departments of a company want to print their own logo or advertising, and make sure that they can be easily changed.
Tested and certified
To avoid the dangers mentioned above, only original accessories should be used, as errors with non-certified ink will not justify the cheaper price and will ultimately cost more and more.
