New printing systems can print ever larger formats. With the BM 4000 series, A4 brochures can now be produced cost-effectively in landscape and oversize formats.

Combined use

The Squarefolder SQF 104 can be combined with

• the BM 60/ BM 61 booklet makers (stitching + folding)
• many laser printers (e.g. Konica-Minolta, Ricoh, Xerox, Canon, Kyocera)
• Further processing machines from other manufacturers

The DFS 200e and DFS 300/ 300 S booklet making systems have their own Squarefolder modules.

Fully automated brochure production for digitally printed sets:

Modern digital printing technology offers many possibilities. This is why the requirements for subsequent processing are constantly growing. These are, for example

• Create manuals with up to 200 pages,
• produce brochures with a cover of 300 g / m2 paper weight,
• Produce presentations with coated or lacquered sheet surfaces.

The BM 4000 brochure production system from Francotyp-Postalia takes care of all these tasks. You can choose from up to five different modules:

• Dual high-performance feeder VFX
• CST creasing / 2-sided cutter
• Folded booklet modules (Bookletmaker) BM 4035 or BM 4050

• from A6 to A4 landscape format books from 145 x 99 up to 297 x 297 mm brochures.
• It processes brochures with up to 200 pages 80 g/m².
• with 2 Isaberg basting heads with 5,000 needles each

Offline solution often more economical

Advantages compared to an online solution of brochure production in the printer:

• The performance of the printer is not reduced by the downstream booklet production.
• The printer can be selected according to the most favorable click price.

For example, you can print in SRA3 format, then cut the prints and turn them into A5 brochures. Otherwise you might pay the click price for A3 formats for A5 brochures (A4 format).

• The service life of the finishing system is considerably longer than that of the printer.
• Regardless of the further development of the printer models used.
• In the event of a printer defect, booklet production can be continued using a different printer.
• The costs for service and consumables for a brochure production system in offline operation can be considerably lower.
