Which machines are affected by new tariff tables?

The update with new tariff tables is required for all FRANKIT franking systems in order to comply with the rules of Deutsche Post AG after using a current price product list. New tariff tables are provided for download via the central PostBase server.

What fees will be charged for a new tariff table?

All customers with active freeTarif-Update contracts receive the new tariff tables free of charge. Also for franking systems, which receive new tariff tables within the first two months after delivery, the provision is free of charge. Otherwise, for the provision of new tariff tables the conditions of the current price list apply. Fees for other customers or franking systems can be taken from the current price list.

What happens with more than two price adjustments in a calendar year?

As a rule, we have had two or three significant tariff adjustments of Deutsche Post AG (DPAG) in recent years. If further tariff adjustments by DPAG occur within one year, which require the provision of new tariff tables by FP, a fee of 49,- Euro or 29,- Euro for __PH19_ for each additional activated tariff table will be charged.

How can I avoid the cost of permanent postage changes?

With the freeTarif-Update contract, FP offers all franchising machine users the possibility to secure themselves against the calculation of tariff table adjustments for a small monthly amount. Over the duration of the contract, we provide you with all tariff updates without separate calculation – completely independent of the number of postage changes in the respective calendar year. Information on the conditions can be found on our __PH10_ page.

Are all machines calculated individually?

For each machine that loads and activates a new tariff table, the specified fee applies. Customers with several machines receive a separate invoice for each machine installed, as the new tariff table is available in each individual machine.

Are there any exceptions for new franking machines?

For new tariff tables made available in the first two months after the start-up of a new franking machine, the lump sum is not calculated for reasons of culprit.

When do affected customers receive their invoice?

Customers will receive the invoice promptly after loading or activating the tariff tables in the franking machine. All customers with FP freeTarif-Update contract will not receive the invoice.

There was only one tariff adjustment per year – do I get money back?

No, there is no entitlement to reimbursement in this case.

Which rules apply for years without tariff adjustments? Do I still get an invoice?

No, if there are no new tariff tables, we do not charge a flat rate beyond the normal FP-Basic or pay-per-click fees!

Why do I have to pay for the provision of the tariff table?

The increased costs associated with the provision of tariff adjustments, in particular investments in the necessary IT infrastructure, can no longer be offset by internal optimization. Both the meanwhile large and complex scope of DPAG porto products (about 500 products) as well as the security technical requirements are key cost drivers.

Is the tariff table provision not included in FP Basic?

Since January 2019, tariff table provision has been subject to a fee. Alternatively, all customers can already conclude the FreeTariff Update Agreement today and thus "insure" themselves against the calculation of individual tariff table provision.

Is there a new customer bonus?

Yes! In principle: In the first 2 months after delivery, the provision of new tariff tables is generally free of charge.
